JBA - One of the mainstays of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) for vehicles in the seven passenger segment besides the Mitsubishi Xpander is the All New Pajero Sport.

This vehicle is sold in six different variants with a choice of two wheel drive, namely 4x4 and 4x2. These variants include Exceed 4x2 MT. Exceed 4x2 AT, GLX 4x4 MT, Dakar Ultimate 4x2 AT, Dakar 4x2 AT, and Dakar 4x4 AT.

Then from the six variants, which is the best-selling variant in 2018?

Responding to this, the Head of Regional Sales and Marketing Division of 1 MMKSI, Budi Darmawan Daulay revealed that of the six existing Pajero Sport variants, Dakkar 4x2 is the biggest contributor to the sales of Pajero Sport in Indonesia, exceeding various other variants.

"Of the many variants of the existing Pajero Sport, the Dakkar Pajero Sport 4x2 is the most demanded. Even the market share is almost 75 percent, "said Budi, as reported by GridOto.com on Saturday (1/26).

"For the total sales of 2018 yesterday, I still haven't got the data yet, but for the average sales, there are around 1,800 units sold in one month," said Budi again.

Based on this data, it can be concluded that the flagship variant or the highest contained in each vehicle model sold by Mitsubishi is the most preferred model by its consumers.

"Usually, there are many consumers whom want to buy the highest variant, Xpander is the highest variant (Ultimate) that is most popular," explained Budi again.

However, speaking of sales, based on data released by the Indonesian Automotive Industries Association (Gaikindo) over the past 2018 period, Mitsubishi's wholesales sales for its ladder-frame SUV have been sold for 20,974 units in the country.

Followed by the toughest competitors, namely the Toyota Fortuner which managed to occupy the second position by collecting total wholesales sales figures of 21,459 units.

Currently the Pajero Sport is priced at prices starting from Rp. 469 million for the Exceed 4x2 MT variant to the Dakar 4x4 AT variant which is priced at Rp. 677 million on the road in Jabodetabek.
